The process used varies slightly depending on the type of prosthesis being made. Some of the steps can be combined into the same appointment. In general, the stages are as follows:

• Evaluation and planning

• Impressions

• Sculpting

• Test fit

• Intrinsic coloration

• Extrinsic coloration and finishing

A multidisciplinary team is important in order to achieve the best prosthetic outcome. We prefer to work closely with your physician, surgeon, or prosthetist to assure the best prosthesis for your particular situation. In many cases we will meet with you in your physician's office.
