This series was created for the article entitled “Transepiphyseal Replacement of the Anterior Cruciate Ligament in Skeletally Immature Patients: Surgical Technique” by Allen Anderson, MD, published in the Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery. The illustrations demonstrate a technique for transepiphyseal replacement of the ACL in young athletes whose bones are still growing:

The semitendinosis and gracilis tendons are pulled through the tibia and lateral femoral condyle and an endobutton washer is situated over the endobutton and retracted back to the bone surface before securing the grafts with sutures over a tibial screw and post.
